Flores Trekking Tour

Image
Flores Trekking Tour  is our new tour activity which is recently released as a result of the request from our previous customers who have been here to do  tours in Flores. They have been so cooperative with us in supporting the local tour company and suggested to include something that others do not have.  Trekking tour in Flores is one of the recommendations from our valued travelers, just like Sean from Singapore who only traveled in Flores for 4 days and 3 nights in the end of April 2025 due to lack of holiday time. After looking by her own eyes the beautiful landscape of Flores  formed from the volcanic activities  million years ago including its unique traditional villages, she promised to come back to do trekking tours.  Zach from the US who has visited Flores in May 2024 for  7 days tours   had promised to come back to Flores next year in May 2026. He challenged us by providing a new tour program we could offer for his second visit. With no...

Hike to Inerie: Tips and Recommendations

Image
View from the summit of Mount Inerie The storm has passed, a strong wind and heavy rain in Flores has ended at the end of March. April began with a sunny day and we were in Bajawa on the fifth of April 2025 starting the day very early in the morning  ready to hike Mount Inerie. Kusni , a local guide from Tololela village, located exactly on the foot of Mount Inerie came to meet Laurent and Bilo, our French guests who explored Flores for 5 days , explained about what to prepare for the hike, the approximate time to hike, the elevation of starting point and the peak of the hike. He later emphasized more about the physical conditions and experience of hike before hiking to Inere. He is more careful now as some parts of the trail to the summit of Inerie have disappeared because of the landslides after the endless rain in March. “Inerie is a natural pyramid shaped mountain. If you have done hiking to Rinjani or other mountains, Inere is considered the most challenging one", ...

Go Beyond Terrifying Wae Reno

Image
When you hear the name Wae Reno, what comes to mind is that the sand mining center is located on the border between East Manggarai and Manggarai Regency. Every travelers who cross the trans Flores route from and to the eastern part of Ruteng will certainly not escape the sight of this mining activity that is  gaping like a meteor hit. In fact, not far from this mining location, there is a paved farm road with a distance of about 200 meters as access to the rice fields of the Robo community and its surroundings. It was through this road that we discovered a hidden paradise on the outskirts of Ruteng City. This plantation land owned by residents measuring thousands of hectares holds a million charms that are very pleasing to the eye. In the warm embrace of the Mandosawu mountains, the abundance of water from the mountain, the fertile land of the former eruption of the Ranaka volcano, and the harmony of nature and culture that is so thickly felt when this plantation land becomes a...

Image
